I know what you mean about the news. I don't even seek it out anymore, since I just end up depressed. How disappointing that the movie was awful. We were going to go see it but never made it. Glad we didn't waste our money. I don't know if I have any good music suggestions. I did listen to a genre station on Pandora called "summer hits of the 2000s" the other day and it made me laugh to remember funny songs I'd forgotten.

Hi! My name is Kara, and I write a craft blog called Nest Candy. I found your blog tonight and was SO thrilled. I too am an oilfield wife, yet my husband and I are your typical liberal tree huggers in so many ways. I find it so refreshing to read that someone else understands the need for research in other sustainable energy sources without condemning drilling in the process. I would think a great addition to your blog would be the struggles and/or fun you have while you are a temporary oilfield bachelorette. Many of my friends are oilfield wives, and they fill their temporary bachelorette status doing amazing things. Think about it, it may turn out to be fun.

Here in Oklahoma we have some crazies ourself! (See Sally Kern) Thankfully they're more local... But Mattress Mary WAS voted into governor on the basis of "Being a mother puts me above my opponent on ability to run the state" TRULY !She was running against a woman who devoted her WHOLE life to being in government, therefore had no family or children and Miss Mary Fallin was on her 2nd marriage after sleeping with her highway patrolman while she was lieutenant governor... These people only like "family values" when it's not them having affairs... smh..... I've lost hope....

I've noticed a lot of the "crazies" come from Texas politics. Weird. The state is so big I guess that makes sense that most people don't even like him! I think the only candidate who I agree with on the most is Ron Paul & I'm not a Republican so if I want to vote for him in the primaries I gotta switch my party. Ugh.

I think she's absurd, ONLY for the fact that SHE probably IS anti-abortion, yet she is having another knowing the risks, and knowing what her last baby just went through. She's putting herself up for literally the death of herself, and her unborn or early-born child. It's JUST as horrific as how most people feel about abortion. Started in 1919 and first model weighted 69 pounds.

The Mixer is one of the only consumer appliances trademarked specifically for its unique shape.

The popular K model was designed in 1937 and starting in 1955 KitchenAid started giving customers color options. Today there are 40 different colors and finishes to choose from.

Where did the name 'KitchenAid' come from? The story goes that an executive took one home to his wife and asked her to test it and help come up with a name. She reportedly stated "I don't care what you call it! I know it's the best kitchen aid I have ever had" and so the name was born.

It is most likely the only thing in your kitchen (entire home possibly) that is made in good ole USA by Americans and not made in China. Don't know about the accessories that come with it though. Wouldn't surprise me if they were made in China.
