March, we hardly knew ye...

Husband and I in Berlin last month. SO COLD! But so awesome!>

Geez 2012 is flying by. I can't believe it's already mid March. Things have been INSANELY nuts lately. Husband has been in Scotland, hooping is taking over my life, every weekend is filled with one thing or another. Whew! Let's talk about what I'm SUPER excited about!

*Young the Giant and Grouplove next Thursday night! I dig YTG and I ADORE Grouplove, so the show should be amazing.

*Hottie Hoop Camp is merely two weeks away! 4 days of hooping on the beach with lots of great ladies, can't ask for more.

*Free Press Summer Fest. I usually hate outdoor concerts, especially if they're in the summer. The only exception is Festival International in Lafayette. But when I saw the lineup at FPSF, I knew that we absolutely had to go. Avett Brothers, Snoop Dog, Major Lazer, Flaming Lips, Primus, Willie Nelson and TONS more. And since we NEVER do stuff like this, we decided to go with the HIGH ROLLER package. No standing in the heat with thousands of other people, we get to be side stage! Feels absolutely decadent, I couldn't sleep for days after we bought tickets because I'd stay up and look at the website/lineup over and over.

What's annoying me lately

*Constant negativity. Is it just me, or does it seem like there are people who sit around all day trying to find things to get riled up about? God knows there are things in the world that absolutely SUCK, but just ONCE, say something positive that isn't a pat on your own back.

*All these tv shows with women being ridic. Good Christian Bitches, Real Housewives of wherever, and a million other ones. I'm tired of seeing ladies act like fools.

*How bad I am at drawing. I have NO skills in this area. I started playing Draw Something on the iPhone, and honestly, I want to give a shout out to everyone who plays me, I can't believe you can guess these terrible drawings.

What's going on in your life?

Hi! My name is Kara, and I write a craft blog called Nest Candy. I found your blog tonight and was SO thrilled. I too am an oilfield wife, yet my husband and I are your typical liberal tree huggers in so many ways. I find it so refreshing to read that someone else understands the need for research in other sustainable energy sources without condemning drilling in the process. I can't wait to read more of your blog and catch up, but if you'd ever like to get to know each other, I'd love for you to email me. I hope this doesn't sound like I'm a creepy stalker, but it's so nice to know there are non stereotypical redneck oilfield couples out there. :)
