I am NOT shopping on Black Friday

That's right. For the first time I can remember, I will NOT be shopping on Black Friday. Am I happy about this? Not really. See, a couple of months ago I made a list of things that I want to do before my 30th birthday, and one of them is NOT to shop on the day after Thanksgiving. We all know the drill, every time the holidays approach, everyone starts in on the "Christmas is too commercialized, no one thinks about the real meaning" talk. And it's true, people do focus on presents and stress and family drama too much. We're all guilty of it, even if just a little bit (and some, WAY too much). I'm not holier than thou. I've been adding things to my online shopping carts for a week now, just waiting until I figure out everything I need. I do think "am I going to have to go to my husband's work Christmas party this year" and "what if I get the wrong color boots for my sister" instead of "boy, I'm so freaking lucky to have had another year alive and happy". So this year, instead of rushing to the mall and Target like I REALLY, REALLY want to, I'm going to head to the park with some hoops, a football, husband, and some friends and enjoy the day without spending one penny on presents.

And next year, you'll see me at Target. What can I say, I'm not a perfect person.

I've never been shopping on the day after Thanksgiving...I sleep in, eat leftovers, watch tv, & hang out with my fam :D I get annoyed when people freak out about the holidays its supposed to be a happy time of the year! I soak it up for all its worth. You will have an awesome time @ the park :D

Don't ever do it, you'll love it too much lol! My mom and I usually go to this really chilled out mall like an hour away from my hometown, and it's so nice. But your idea of sleeping in sounds so lovely, that will definitely be me this year!
