We are Family...

So husband and I are alone in the house once again. My sister and nieces have gone back to New York, and my parents back to Louisiana. We had such a great visit with all of them, only wish it could have been longer. We did the regular things we do when we're all togther: shop, eat, gossip, go through the closet at which ever house we're at. The kids had a great time, my oldest niece said immediately to me "I want to stay forever." She's never been here in the summer though.

What else did we do? Hoop of course! Sunday was World Hoop Day, so I taught my niece, my sister, and my mom, all people who have tried to hoop and claimed they absolutely couldn't. I feel accomplished!

Maggie!

My sister Cord!

My mom, who was most insistent that she wouldn't be able to do it.

They all did so wonderful. I love passing on the love of the hoop to other people. It's like a religion.

Sunday my dad and my husband made Goulash (the German version, tomato based stew) with Knödel, dumpling style potatoes, and red cabbage. This is one of my most favorite meals that my dad makes just for special occasions. I cannot even explain how good this food is.

Ignore the messy stove. This stuff is AMAZING. And now my freezer is packed with it!

The house is so quiet now, it's strange how quickly you can get used to The Suite Life with Zack and Cody blaring in the background.

How was your weekend? Tell me about your life.

Hooping sounds cool, I heard hula hooping an hour per day is supposed to be good exercise.
The food looks delicious!!! Yummm!
Glad you all had a good time!
