Red and Easy A, one is better than the other

Last night husband took me to the drive in, and after feeling pretty crappy most of the week and being stuck in the house, it was nice to get out without having to get out of the car (wow, could that sound lazier?). I love the drive in, have I told you that before? $5 for 2 movies. We saw Red and Easy A. I expected Red to be terrible and Easy A to be better, even though the director for the latter really annoyed me in this extended trailer I saw. He claims that everyone was assigned The Scarlet Letter in high school, but no one actually read it. Um, yes, I did, thank you very much.

Anyway, Red was actually better than Easy A, because it MOVED. The plot was presented, and the actors went with it without dilly dallying. I'm no big fan of action movies, but Bruce Willis is kind of funny and John Malkovich is insane, so that's fun. Easy A could have been a lot less zzzzzz if they had left out the myriad of 80's movie references and constant product placement. And I don't know about the rest of you, but in my day, when a girl slept with one guy in high school, she wasn't deemed a slut. And why weren't the other "sluts" at this school defending the main character? And why was she using incredibly big words that few adults I know even use? I'm so over these pretentious teenagers getting into situations they can't handle. Jeez, I sound like Clint Eastwood. GET OFF MY LAWN!

I think today I'm going to lounge around and watch Marie Antoinette. Or maybe Garfield's Halloween. But right now? Time for pancakes and bacon! Have a lovely weekend all!

Didn't see Easy A yet. I actually want to see Jackass 3D. I think seeing my boyfriend in those silly glasses will be more amusing than the movie though. That's really cool that there is a drive in theater where you live! Hope you enjoy your pancakes & bacon!

"The Unlikely Oilfield Wife" has been included in this weeks A Sunday Drive. I hope this helps to attract even more new visitors here.

Gosh, it must be twenty years since I've gone to the drive-in! Maybe more. I forgot that you get two really new films for one cheap price. I like the look of Red but will probably watch Easy A because I like the look of the main actress!

Yes we want to see Red too! Wow drive-ins. We have one left in the entire metropolitan area of L.A. and there's only one showing time a day.

btw, I removed my "bff's" link from my blogroll - and added yours!
