A couple of weeks ago I was driving somewhere and heard on the radio that Sting's new show, Symphonicities was playing at a local arena here in Houston. Symphonicities is a new album of his greatest hits set to an orchestra. Now, I've always been a casual fan of Sting and The Police, but not major. So I didn't pay much attention to the radio ad, which I regret now, because after hearing the album (which was released yesterday), I can't listen to anything else. You know how there are songs that make you want to cry because they are so good? This is one for me. I keep forgetting that I live in a big city now that actually gets major acts other than Nickelback and Three Doors Down. In Lafayette, anytime anyone remotely famous comes to town for a show, it's forced on you by every tv and radio ad, every sign around town, etc. Oh how I wish I hadn't missed this live. Check out this live version of "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" from the Hollywood Bowl.
