Mine Tragedy

This morning the country awoke to the news that the 4 miners in West Virginia who were still missing were found dead. 29 men in all. The worst mining accident in 40 years. Incidents like this always hit me straight in the heart. The Sago Mine disaster happened while Husband and I were on our honey moon, and we sat for hours watching the news, just heart broken. The energy industry, whether it be oil or coal, is a dangerous one. Always remember that these men and women work incredibly hard in difficult conditions, to help this country and all of US in its journey to be energy independent. At the very least, they are owed the piece of mind that all safety precautions are being taken, and when things like this happen, a full and intense investigation, to avoid disasters like this again. Please keep these folks and their families in your thoughts, and remember to be grateful for all you have.

Prayers going out to all those victims and their families! Don't think the majority of our country realizes the conditions and hardships etc these miners are in all the time! And it's for energy sources we NEED! Can't imagine that life style??!! Great post.
