So I was just watching The View (don't judge me) and Whooppi mentioned a poll taken by the television network Oxygen. One of the results is as follows: 22% of 18-34 year old women who consider themselves attractive said they would rather lose the ability to read than their figures. WHAT THE F**K!!!?? I don't even know what to say to this. I'm flabbergasted. Oh, there were other frightening statistics taken from this poll, including one that said 25% of women aged 18-35 would rather win America's Next Top Model than the Nobel Prize. Is this seriously where women are today? I realize that the poll isn't scientific, but just the idea that there are women walking around on the street thinking, "God, I would totally give up the ability to read if I just continue to look this hot!" frightens the crap out of me. I'm sure these women have always existed, but I guess I never realized it. Now I'm just sad. America's Top Model? No one from that show even has a real modeling career after! So sad. :(

Okay wow! People really do have their priorities a little screwed up! And to think, these are the same women that are raising our country's youth! Yikes!!
