You know what's sad? Here it is, the holiday season, and no television channel is showing the original Miracle on 34th Street or It's a Wonderful Life. I've never seen the latter, and Husband said it was great, so we bought it. Great film! Jimmy Stewart is my new favorite actor, a shame since he passed away 11 years ago. Not to give it all away, but it's interesting how a film made in 1946 can be so relevant today, with the bank closings and foreclosures and all, as well as many of the jokes and funny lines. Donna Reed was excellent, and of course always gorgeous. Definitely check it out.
So, my Christmas shopping is done. I have some crafting left to do, but since Husband is going to Riley's today to watch football, I'll have plenty of time.
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like Husband will be home for Christmas. He got a call on Friday from his coordinator saying that the rig he was on wants to drill further. He won't be gone long, but it will still be sad to not have him here for Christmas Day. That's the life I lead though, and in the grand scheme of things, it's ok. Things could be much MUCH worse.
